Murder or Suicide? More than 40 years after his death, the debate still rages over how exactly TV's Superman died. If the official verdict of suicide were correct, the man of steel would have had to be a contortionist. He had recently ended a long running affair with Toni Mannix, wife of MGM 'Executive' (read: Mobster) Eddie Mannix, and was planning to wed Lenore Lemon. Apparently Mr Mannix did not like his wife to be unhappy, even if this unhappiness was caused by another man dumping her. Reeves committed 'suicide' shortly thereafter.
