William Desmond Taylor - (buried under his real name) Famous director and bon vivant, whose 1922 unsolved murder derailed the careers of Mabel Normand and Mary Miles Minter, both his lovers. Years later, director King Vidor wrote a book about the murder in which he indicates that the killer was Minter's mother, Charlotte Shelby, also one of Taylor's lovers.
