BENEATH LOS ANGELES |
Of all my exciting finds in my travels, the most emotional one was the discovery of Charlie Chaplin's first born son, Norman Spencer Chaplin, who Charlie simply called the Little Mouse. Born deformed to Charlie and his first child bride, Mildred Harris, in July, 1919, he lived only three days. All my reference books claimed his location was unknown somewhere at Hollywood Forever. After years or searching, I finally came across him one day, not in Hollywood, but in Inglewood (above). I literally fell to my knees at the sight of the little guy.
