Ralph Waldo Emerson II

Is this a relative of the great poet? Apparently not. According to Laura Fuhrmann: A quick check on Ancestry.com shows that he is not related at all. His father was Orlando Emerson- who is the right age as a son of Ralph Waldo would be, but he is not Ralph's son. None of the family names match up. Not even sure why there is a II after his name on the gravestone because there is no Ralph in the direct line of descendants dating back to the 1500's. Thank you, Laura!
