Mary S. Ertl, MD

The first female physician in Los Angeles, this woman has TWO unique monuments at two different cemeteries (see "Yet Another Weeping Lady" for her monument at Inglewood). This is most likely her actual crypt at Forest Lawn, Glendale. If you peer inside the door, you will see the scuplture of her sitting with her medical bag. b. 1856 d. November 2, 1931
